I am hoping someone there locally help me with a problem finding documentation to connect my great-grandfather, Charlie R. Grisham, to his parents, John H. Grisham and Parthenia J. Thomason. Charlie was born August 1880, one month after the 1880 census. By 1900, he had moved out on his own to work in northern Louisiana. His mother died about 1895 and his father moved to LA and remarried then moved to Panola County, Tx where he died. My grandfather on Charlie's death certificate could not name Charlie's parents, there was no probate will for John H. in Panola County, no Bible records exist that I have found to connect Charlie to his parents. He was born and buried in Springhill, AR, in Hempstead County. Is there a local Daughters of the Confederacy or DAR that can help? This line was involved in both the Confederacy and the American Revolution. Any help would be appreicated.
