I've been revisiting death certificates and marriages licenses that I've acquired from Pulaski County, et al. Performing a couple of marriage solemnizations was William M. Mathews -- this is probably the son of my gg grandmother Julia Brown Douthard Mathews Porter, who was on the 1880 AR Census (Pulaski County, Little Rock). He was titled "Minister of the Gospel", and listed as "security" for a couple of the marriages. My question is this: How can I learn more about the M.G.'s (Minister of Gospel) who performed marriages in the 1870's, 1880's, and 1890's in Little Rock, AR?
