Try the published index to the Little Rock Arkansas Gazette, the only AR newspaper indexed for this time. There may be something about the flood in it. The Arkansas History Commission and State Archives also have a large collection of Memphis TN newspapers. These may have covered the flood and its aftermath. Sorry, no indexes to these papers.
