I need to find someone to go to the Garland County clerk's office and try to find a divorce record for me. I spoke with the clerk's office on the phone and they do not do searches but told me the records are available for research. I am planning to return to Hot Springs in September, but it would really help if I had the information before then. Of course I'm willing to pay for the help. Do you know anyone who could do this for me? I'm looking for the divorce of John Earl Allington and Julia Foster. It would have been between 1912 and 1920. They were married in St. Louis. Julia is my grandmother. I know they were married when my mother was born in Dec. 1911. In the 1920 Census, Julia is shown as living on Fordyce St., H.S., and is listed as divorced.
