    1. [AGS] Death Records
    2. My Gr. Gr. Grandfather died in 1920, between Jan and Sept. in Greene County, AR. and no one seems to have any information on him either. I, too, sent to Little Rock for information and they couldn't find anything. At this time I am wondering if their records are complete or just depends who gets the request, you know what I mean?

    3. Although deaths were "required" to be reported to the state of Arkansas (starting in February 1914), many of the rural counties of Arkansas were haphazard (at best) in reporting deaths, for several reasons. It was probably well into the 1940's before deaths were regularly and systematically recorded and reported to the State.
