    3. You might have to rely upon the information on this family from the 1900 U. S. Census for Arkansas. Have you locate them in the census? Russell P. Baker, CA Arkansas History Commission and State Archives One Capitol Mall Little Rock, AR 72201 501-682-6900 www.ark-ives.com [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> -----Original Message----- From: Laura Prescott Duffy [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, October 13, 2002 6:45 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [AGS] Birth record or residence info Can anyone please recommend where I might find birth information, or any information at all, on my grandfather and his parents who lived in Fayetteville for only a year or two, just in time for him to be born while his dad taught at the university? He was born on 27 May 1890. I have his Soc Sec application and a death certificate that back this up, but the state says it has no birth record that far back. His name was George Harris Collingwood and his parents were Charles B. and Harriet (Thomas) Collingwood. I believe Charles was a professor of chemistry. I don't know where they lived in Fayetteville (or nearby) or for how long they were there, but I'm guessing only a couple years. They came from Michigan and then went to Arizona. I would appreciate any insights. I'm happy to pay for some research time, too, if anyone thinks there might be something to look into down there. Thank you!
