Bill: There are indeed two Weaver Families listed in the 1840 U. S. Census of Scott County, AR. Jacob on p. 183 and John on p. 178. John has no children. Jacob has one son. However, remember that censuses before 1850 do not list the names of children, only the name of the head of the household. Russell P.
