For those doing research on early Arkansas families, you may wish to know that 42 plus rolls of early Arkansas tax records are currently available on interlibrary loan through your local LDS family history library/center. The counties in question are Arkansas through Monroe, although Monroe has just been microfilmed. The records date from 1819 to about 1868. However, not all years are available for each county. In many cases these are the only early county records available that have survived. You can also see them here at the State Archives.
