    1. [AGS] Census
    2. Hello: If anyone has access to the actual census records-not just the index-for either 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 for Jackson County, Arkansas, please look for my grandfather and his family. His name was John Anner Cunningham. John Anner or J. A. Cunningham who, according to his Sand Springs/Tulsa obituary in 1934 was born in or near Newport in Jackson County, Arkansas on December 23, 1859. Where he was born in Jackson County may later have become a part of Woodruff County. It is believed that he lived in Arkansas until 1881 when he moved to Oklahoma. He had one brother, George Washington or G. W. Cunningham and a sister whose name may have been Fannie or Alice. His father's name may have been Ben and his mother's name may have been Kate. I have been trying to get a line on John for over 35 years without success. John, George, and Fannie may have been orphans after the Civil War. The father of John, George and Fannie Cunningham may have been one of the following men in Jackson County: 1850 Census-David-Jefferson Township; 1860 Census-James-Bay Township; 1860 Census-P-Jefferson Township; 1870 Census-James H. - Buckinridge or Breckinridge Township; 1870 Census-H Jacksonport Township; 1870 Census-Josiah-Village Township. Any assistance you can give me will be appreciated. Bruce Cunningham
