Copies of original plat maps and surveyor's field notes may be obtained from the State Lands Commissioner for approximately $5 per map. One would need to know the Township, and Range numbers to be able to obtain the correct plat. The field notes describe the vegetation and terrain and will mention roads, streams, and improvements to the land. The field notes are priced by the page for photocopying.
