Mrs. Carter had been ill five months. A daughter of the late William Nathan and Elizabeth Carter Pearson, she was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, February 11, 1866. She lived in Arkansas 87 years. Mrs. Carter was a Primitive Baptist. Also surviving are five other sons, T.D. Carter of Wooster, M.L. Carter of Goodwell,Oklahoma, C.B. Carter of Stuttgart, and C.J. Carter of Green Bay, Wisconsin; a daughter, Mrs. M.R. Patton of Greenbrier, 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
