Dear Pauline, In order to get a death certificate, you must be a family member of the deceased, or be recognized as the family historian or have the permission of the executor of the estate or something to that effect. You can write for the death certificate at: Arkansas Department of Health Division of Vital Records 4815 West Markham St., Slot 44 Little Rock, AR 72205-3867 They will ask you to fill out a form and send them $4.00 for the copy.
