Hello. I'm new to this list and hoping that someone can help. I'm looking for info on John Edwin DAVIDSON and wife Mary Neill HOLMES. They lived in Benton Co, AR from early 1830's until last shown in census of 1860. John Edwin would have been about 73 in 1860. They had many children: Edwin Blackburn (who moved to Texas around 1850), Jonah, Harvey, John, Sydney, Sarah Elizabeth, Mary, George, and Benjamin. After the 1860 census these guys just disappear. I've not found anyone who has a death date or location for John Edwin or Mary, although some of the children have been tracked down. Mary apparently had a brother named Phineas Holmes and wife Rachel Stuart who died in Benton Co. Another researcher has gone to Benton Co. himself to try and find a death date or place of burial for John Edwin and Mary but could not find anything. So my question is, does anybody out there know anything about this DAVIDSON family? Could they have moved somewhere else in Arkansas that late in life? Thanks so much, Vicki
