Recently I was able to spend a few days in Franklin Co., AR. Among the many things I wished to find was the location of the Nichols Cemetery. Was told it was on Wise Road, just outside of Ozark. I drove that road so many times and yet the only cemetery I found was the Bourland Cemetery. So would some kind soul please "draw me a picture" of where the Nichols Cemetery is. The staff at the county courthouse was very courteous and helped me locate many things I had been looking for. Unfortunately, was unable to knock down any part of my brick wall......am still searching for the parents and siblings of my paternal ggrandfather, Uriah Nichols, b. 1817 TN, who died in Franklin CO. in 1905, and is supposedly buried in the Nichols Cemetery. It has been said that Uriah Nichols, and his wife, Martha Conatser, b. 1812 TN [& children], traveled to AR from TN along with John Clifton Nichols, Lawson Nichols, James J. Nichols, Harvey Nichols, & Jesse Nichols, and their families, settling around the White Oak Township. If anyone can help me find out more about Uriah Nichols would appreciate it. Also want to mention that what little I saw of your state while there, was beautiful......
