My ggrandfather, Thomas Flinn, immigrated in 1849 with his father, Lawrence Flinn, his sister, Easter, and his brother, John. Thomas married in Wisconsin in 1856. I have never found any trace of the rest of the family. Recently, while browsing in My Family Tree I found that "Easter Flinn" had purchased land in one of eight states. Shortly after, I found Land Records in Arkansas and checked for the name - there she was! I have not established that this is my Easter Flinn, but it is such an unusual name that I feel that it is. She purchased land in Grant County, Arkansas 1 March 1860. Adjacent to her land was a purchase by Martin Flinn. I do not know the relationship between these two. So far, I have found no further information. I hope soon to look at census records but in the meantime, I would appreciate any suggestions for further research and/or contact with anyone who might have information about these people. Specifically, the purchases were made at the Land Office in Little Rock, and were for 80 acres each in Township 5-S, Range 12-W.
