Mr. Brummett was born June 2, 1878 in Faulkner county, a son of the late William Calhoun and Lizzie Standfield(Stanphill)Brummett. He lived all his life in Arkansas. Mr. Brummett was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Ishmael of North Little Rock and Otis Brummett of Spring Hill, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
