Mike: I would suggest that you look through the Columbia County tax records for 1860 - 1870 and see when your families drop off of the tax records. This may also give you information on when they died. If you live in AR you can come by our research room and see these records. Mary Hardcastle was born abt 1801 in Georgia and came to Arkansas with her husband and family. They showed up in the 1860 Columbia Co., Census, but in 1870, John and Mary did not appear. Judging by their ages in 1860, I am assuming that they passed away. Does anyone have any records that might show their names. I have found children and in-laws buried in Falcon, Shiloh, Sardis, and Mars Hill Cemeteries, but have not been able to find them. I would really appreciate any help that you may be able to give me.
