Need some guidance on obtaining Ark military records. Does the society have access to these records? I'm hoping I can order the records because I can't get to Little Rock anytime soon. I'm wanting the Civil War record of William Thomas Akin(s) who enlisted in Prairie County, AR, and served in Co. 6, 36th Ark Infantry. Found on the Ark History Commission website that his widow, Ida Akins, lived in the Ark Confederate Home so would like that record also. His son, Samuel H Akin(s), was a World War I vet. His tombstone reads Pvt 141 ORD DEPOT CO. Would like a copy of his draft card & military service. Thank you, Michelle michslab@cablelynx.com
