Under a search for James Jackson plus place died : Kern , I got 18 hits on the CA Death Index that is on line at Rootsweb. (do a google search for CA death records rootsweb and you get several hits) I don't know a birth date or mother's maiden name to help sort him out, so would suggest that you get the search program for the CADI up and see if you can figure out which one he is. It may help to review the article from the OK service before you start to see if has further clues to help. If you or I can get a hit on him I can look at the Kern newspapers. One thing I have noticed with death in one place and burial in another is that the place of death often does not have an item in the paper ... don't think I would do it that way, but some folks do. Let me know how you do ... we should be able to find this guy. ron in CA -----Original Message----- From: glswings <glswings@pacifier.com> Sent: Mar 17, 2004 9:52 AM To: blueoak@ix.netcom.com Subject: Re: [AGS] CA History Room I was just wondering if maybe while you are looking you could look up something for me. I am trying to find James M Jackson, may be listed as Jim J Jackson. I know that he died in May 1951 and was shipped from Bakersfield to Sallisaw Ok. So far I have not been able to find an obit or death certificate for him. I do have the funeral record(very scant info) from Sallisaw but like I said cannot find obit or death certicate. Thank you for any help Helen glswings@pacifier.com ----- Original Message ----- From: <blueoak@ix.netcom.com> To: <AGS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 17, 2004 8:35 AM Subject: RE: [AGS] CA History Room > Yes, I do these on my lunch hour.
