Greetings. My name is Carol Youngblood and this is my first request. My husband (Mark) and I are researching his gr-grandfather Wesley Madison Youngblood born around 1878 in Stuttgart. The story passed down to his ancestors is that Wesley was orphaned (very young) when his parents were killed in a runaway team accident. All we know was that the accident occured east of Little Rock (possibly Stuttgart). Wesley has two daughters still living and they remember hearing that a family named Conroy (?) raised the boys. We have no confirmed names of siblings. Wesley's obit only states that Mr & Mrs Thomas Youngblood were his parents. We have done several census searches as well as using RAOGK which found a James Youngblood listed in 1870 with a Wesley M. as a son. We are anxious to solve this mystery for his family. Any suggestions or information would be appreciated. One suggestion we were given was to see if there are any Guardianship papers regarding the siblings. Mark and I are planning a trip to Arkansas (Little Rock and Stuttgart) in mid May to do research. . Thank You Mark and Carol Youngblood Kansas
