    1. [AGS] Goodspeed
    2. The Marx Family
    3. With regard to Goodspeed's Biographies, I concur that they are a good starting point and I have had success with finding a family name that allowed me to head in another direction. In one instance, mention was made that Mr. McCall raised horses and that has encouraged me to keep searching for connection with my grandfather who raised horses. I have been led to understand that one of the drawbacks is that some names may have been omitted, i.e. non-living siblings, FEMALES, very young children, etc. The descriptions of the individuals are often quite flowery but that's okay. We can sort through that. What is important is just to keep in mind that documentation is very important as it is in any reports that we come across. I, too, am new to genealogy and I have just begun to use lists. My experience has been very positive. Everybody is so helpful and considerate. I want to thank everyone who has responded to my queries and I certainly hope that I can return the favor.
