Hello, I am searching for the parents of Sanford Joel Burks born about 1827 in Illinois. Sanford married Mary Eliza Williams on 10 Sep 1846 in Hot Spring county AR. Sanford died 9 Jan 1878 in Hot Spring County, Arkansas. He is also listed in 1870 census of Franklin county Arkansas. I have searched everywhere that I can think of for the name of his parents but have had no luck. He has at least 2 sisters Lucinda Burks and Nancy A. Burks and 3 brothers William R. and M.M. and James Washington Burks. He was in Co. H Div AR Calvary Crawfords from 63 to 65 per pension application.
