    1. [AGS] Need Parents/Siblings of Pleasant P. Henderson/Sarah Nixon(?)
    2. Dixie
    3. I don't have the info you need, but will try to find out if I'm related to your Pleasant P. from a Henderson relative of mine. I visited the Cadron Valley Cemetery last year looking for another branch of my family and made notes of the Hendersons buried there, among them Pleasant P. Henderson. This is the info I copied from the headstones: Pleasant P. Henderson, died March 5, 1878. Wife Susan M. Hoggard, died Feb. 2, 1878. Wife Sarah (no last name), died June 20, 1870. The headstone for J.J. Henderson must be your great-grandfather, James Jackson. My branch of Hendersons settled in the Blackfork community north of Cadron Valley. My great-grandfather was George Daniel Henderson (1880-1963), son of Thomas Franklin Henderson (1854 -1900). Thomas was born in Cherokee Co., Ala., and was in Ark. in 1870. Thomas' father was John G. Henderson, born 1812 in Tenn. and died in 1884. There's probably some sort of connection and I'll try to track it down. <Pleasant P. Henderson was born circa 1836 in SC. He married Sarah (Nixon we think) circa 1855-1857. We think she was from AL. They had 5 children: James Jackson "Jim" b. 05/31/1858 - d. 08/07/1942 (MY ggrandfather) Nancy Elizabeth "Lizzie" b. 1862 - d. 1893 J. Louisa "Lou" b. 1864 - d. ? John P. "Pinkie" b. 09/04/1866 - d. 02/14/1904 William T. "Willie" b. 12/25/1869 - d. 02/28/1893 Sarah died 06/20/1870 and Pleasant married Susan Hoggard on 09/01/1870. They had 2 children: Mary Margaret "Maggie" b. 10/17/1871 - d. 08/20/1903 Thomas P. "Tom" b. ? - d. ? Susan died 02/02/1878. Pleasant died 03/05/1878 and is buried in Cadron Valley Cemetery in Faulkner County along with his wives and many of his descendants. Is anyone else out there related to this family? It is possible he came to AR through MS or TN but we haven't found a connection in either state. We think he had at least two brothers and one sister, but we aren't sure, as we have no names to follow. Thanks for any help at all!>
