Re: Message #7 The name Narsis May Stubbs b. 1897 in this message is the only other time I have ever seen the name "Narcisse/Narsis/Narcis". My great aunt Narcisse Kirksey was born 5 Nov 1888 died 20 Sept 1984, so perhaps this was a name used during this period. My Narcisse Kirksey was the youngest of 5 children born to my great grandfather Michael Kirksey b. 18 Aug 1844 d. 26 Dec 1888 and my great grandmother Mary Ann McGregor Crow Kirksey b. 24 Dec 1844 d. 26 Aug 1918. This family lived in Sevier County and the parents are buried in Old Piney Cemetery, Sevier County, AR. The rest of the family relocated to Oklahoma circa 1922. The only information I have about my great grandparents, the parents of Narcisse Kirksey, is a tape recording made prior to her death in 1984.
