    3. List Members, To try to answer some of the questions that I have received: 1. No, I cant do look ups, sorry, I was only commenting on how "we" Genealogist may persuade The Grand Lodge to start a program on the internet of the genealogical information on the deceased members of the lodges. 2. Address your request to " The Master of the Lodge and Members, Ask for the request to be read at the meeting, Give as much information about the ancestor as you can, Don't forget to give your kinship to the ancestor. I.E.. instead of stating " My great great grandfather was a mason of your lodge" Use something like this "My Dad John Doe's father Jack Doe was a member" One of the Members may remember John Doe and this would lead them to the Jack Doe even if John Doe wasn't a member. 3. The information you receive from the lodge will vary from lodge to lodge and from member to member. In most cases you should get his full name, dob, dod, It will depend on how much of the information has survived. 4. Not to confuse other organizations with the Mason, But here is the request information on a couple other ones. INDEPENDENT ORDER of ODD FELLOWS http://norm28.hsc.usc.edu/IOOF.shtml The Woodsman of the World, I couldn't find my notes on this one, but I'm sure I've read something about it on the net. Hope this helps, Dennis
