Thank You. DIRECTOR OF ARCHIVES AND HISTORY The Georgia Secretary of State is seeking candidates for Director of Archives and History. The division has 54 full-time employees and maintains more than 200,000 cubic feet of state records and microfilm. In addition to the archival operations, the program includes records management, a records center, and has responsibility for maintaining a statewide historical records advisory board and a state records committee. Minimum Qualifications: Five years of management-level experience in an archival institution, research library, records management or related field; knowledge of archival methods and procedures; basic understanding of records center operations and records management programs; and excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in History, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field; and demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume archival records program.
