    1. Nimrod Lunsford/1880 census
    2. Betty Brown
    3. I have a puzzle to solve...I own the 1880 census for all states...In it, I have found Nimrod Lunsford, indexed as Minrod Lunsford, living in Phillips county....He has wife, Margaret, and children, George and Ruth with him....I have been trying to find the image at Ancestry, but he is not in their index..I also tried the 1880 census at Familysearch.com with no luck...If anyone else has other resources and can look up the image and send it to me, I would appreciate it..Here is the census index I have...I am also looking for his brother, John, b. 1832-35 and his half brother, Joshua Gillen, who are not listed in any index, as far as I can find... 1880 Census Place: Mooney, Phillips, Arkansas Source: FHL Film 1254053 National Archives Film T9-0053 Page 302D Relation Sex Marr Race Age Birthplace Nimrod LUNSFORD Self M M W 54 AR Occ: Farmer Fa: VA Mo: IN Margret LUNSFORD Wife F M W 49 NC Occ: House Keeping Fa: NC Mo: NC George L. 3. I would like to thank everyone who responded to my query. They sent me several helpful suggestions on how to find information about my relative who was a Methodist Episcopal church South Minister 1860-1886. Here are their suggestions, which I would like to pass on to everyone: 1 Write to the main church headquarters. Do a word search for the church to find the main office. 2. Do an internet search for Methodist archives in Arkansas. 3. Contact the United Methodist Church South conference via their web site. Try http://www.gcah.org/Conference/umcdirectory.htm . 4. Check with Russell Baker at the Arkansas Genealogical and Historical Societies. He usually finds what people are looking for. 5. Check with Hendrix College in Conway, AR. They have a history dept. on the Methodist Church in Arkansas. 6. Try Manzel Beal at arkmethodist@mercury.hendrix.edu. She is a United Methodist archivist at Hendrix College, Bailey Library, 1600 Washington Ave., Conway, AR 72032. Iris >

    2. Hello, I need help finding two deaths before the 1914 death index. My great grandparents are listed in Giles Township, Cleburne county AR. in 1900 , but in 1910 their son, my grandfather , is living with his grandmother and they are not listed. I am trying to determine if they died betwen 1900 and 1910. How would I do this since it it before the 1914 death index? Does anyone have access to anything that might help like obits or cemetery listings? I have looked in the cemeteries I have found online for Cleburne county. Any help appreciated. 1. Minister List
    2. Bill Horne
    3. Hi, I wonder if anyone can advise me on how to find my relative who was a Methodist Episcopal Church South minister from 1860 to 1886 at least. He was Mathew/Matthew Horn/Horne b. 1826-1832 TN. From a marriage record in Sebastian Co., AR, I found information that his license was in Sharp Co., AR. He is on the Fulton Co. census for 1860 listed as minister M.E. and he is on the Sharp Co. census for 1870 living in Evening Shade, very close to Fulton Co. He must have moved to Sebastian Co. in 1870, because I have found several marriages he performed in Hackett, Sebastian Co. at the Greenwood courthouse. I will appreciate any help. Iris
