Hi Group, Does anyone have information on the location of Pindall, Arkansas? Is there a Pendelton, arkansas? Two different documents of my Mothers show these two cities as being where she was born. I just can"t seem to locate what county they are in. Thank You Carol Nutt
There is a Riverboat Museum in Dubuque, Iowa (Riverboat Museum, Ice Harbor, Dubuque, IA) which has histories of the Riverboat captains for the Mississippi. Also check the major libraries on the river, such as Muscatine, Iowa. They also have collections of materials about riverboats which blew up, captains and such. Could you please check and see if their were two John Nutt marriages in Clark Co. Ar. around the same time. And also for a grave for Dolphin (Adolphus) b.1843 d. 1876. Thank You Grady

Hello Group, My gg-grandfather Henry Nutt came to Clark Co. Ark. in 1850 after 1855 I can't find him on the census and have lost him. His son my g grandfather Adolphus shows up in Clark co. in 1860 census living with relatives. If anyone can give me a clue on how to find him or has information please let me know. Thank Everyone Grady Nutt
Check the 1880 census soundex. It is indexed for families with children under the age of 10. Yours should show up. It's available through the state historical society for the state you want. State Historical Society's have them for their state and will lend them out for interlibrary loan. Iowa does it for $3.25. You'll need to check with the state you need. Greetings1 I have been hitting the proverbial brick walls for many years in trying to get a line on my grandfather, John Anner Cunningham, his brother George W. Cunningham, or their sister Fannie or Alice Cunningham. John was born in Jackson County, Arkansas on December 23, 1859, as far as we know. No information on the others, but oral family history has told us that the three children were virtual orpahns of the Civil War. Another piece of oral history has told my family that John (and perhaps George, too) were befriended by a riverboat captain by the name of Captain Mann. My family always assumed it was on the Mississippi River which it could have been, but it also could have been on the Arkansas, I suppose. Does anyone know where to check on riverboat captains on either river? Thanks, Bruce Cunningham
Hello, I am looking for info on Richard Eddington. I was told he went to Moark, Ark. to bath in the healing springs there when he died. Does anyone know anything about these springs. And is there anyone on the list that have any records of Moark. I do not have any other info than this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Ok listmembers-- I got some responses from Van Buren & Pope county, they were not there either. Mysty suggested looking in Carroll & Boone counties. Is there anyone that can look in Carroll, Boone, Newton, Logan, Searcy and Perry counties for Joseph Wesley Carlock & Dora Adaline Edmonson between 1906 - 1909 most likely 1907. I also still need the sheriff/constable information. I now remember that the question was about a High Sheriff. I got one person from Perry that had a book for 1840 - 1889. I need information closer to 1900. Thanks for any help that I receive. If someone can explain (off line) how to search the archives I will find the information for myself. I searched some but could not get the right key words to work.
