    3. Have you tried the Garland County historical or genealogical society for Tombstone readings? The WPA did them in the 30's and 50's and there should be a copy somewhere. It will locate her tombstone, grave and hopefully have written upon it a date of death, even if there is no death certificate registered. Not so uncommon in rural areas. -- *************************************************** Diana J. 2. Dear Nancy, Conway, Arkansas is in Faulkner County. My family is from Conway County, which is next door. However, I have very little information about Faulkner County, but you might try the County Courthouse in Faulkner County. I'm sure they would look for a record for you for a fee. Their telephone no. is (501) 450-4909 for the County Clerk's office and (501) 450-4911 for the County Circuit Courts Office. Sorry I can't help you more. Jan

    3. I am still looking for any information I can find on my great-grandmother, Martha Ellen Ratliff-Fox. She married Elijah J. Fox on 9-11-1886 in Montgomery County, Arkansas. I was able to obtain a copy of the marriage license so I know that at least the date and place of marriage is verified. Their children were: Mitchell, Monroe, Joseph, William, George, Linnie and Leona. I have been told that there was also a third daughter that died young. According to family lore, Martha Ellen died sometime around 1915 at home in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas. I have written to Arkansas Vital Records and they say that there are no records on her at all. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very appreciative! I was in hopes that the marriage license would show the names of the bride and grooms' parents, but, alas, no luck there. Thanks, in advance, for any help offered. Mary Jane Moore
