The Fort Smith National Historic Site has added the Federal Court Employee Database to its web site. The database includes the names and positions of those who served the Federal District Court for the Western District of Arkansas during 1872 - 1896. This was the court presided over by Judge Isaac Parker and its jurisdiction included Indian Territory (what is kow Oklahoma.) One nice thing about the AGS list and others hosted by Rootsweb is that one can go to the Archives and find postings made previously. This is so helpful when one has accidentally deleted or missed a posting made earlier. One can search for a particular name and pull up all the posts made by or about that person. Debra Blackard
