Posted on: AGSQueries Board URL: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/GenSoc/Ar/AGS?read=30 Surname: SAIN ------------------------- Searching for family of my great-grandfather, William Elisha Sain, b. abt. 1870 in AR. and married Ruby Pearl Johnson. All eight of their children were born in Newton Co., AR. He had two brothers, "Ode" and "Kirk", Kirk lived in Lamar, AR. They had a sister named "Ellie Hefley" that later moved to Galveston, TX. Their mother lived in Lorton, AR for awhile. My great-uncle told me William Elisha's parents name were William Houston & Molly Sain, however I keep hitting a brick wall when it comes to finding any documentation to support that.
I am trying to locate a family history on this family. It is my husband's great-grandfather. In 1905 they were in Sebastain Co., Ark. This is where my husband's grandfather was born; Jesse William Gipson. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Grace
I, too, would like to say THANK YOU to the person(s) responsible for the Sebastian Coal Miners listing. One never knows when you will discover a distant relative you didn't know of and then that person might be on this list. It is just one more tool we can utilize in identifying our ancestor's lives. THANKS AGAIN ! Come on now, anyone can make a mistake, I know I make lots of them, don't you??
I am not receiving my messages AGAIN. This is a test. Phyllis
Bena, A mistake was made. An apology was extended to all by the person who sent the letter.. I personally think that is enough! Being human, error does happen. This is a great informative site and I have seen nothing ,but a group of hard working people. Committed to providing so much good info on our Arkansas ancestor's. Keep up the good work! Brian, Jann, Rebecca and sorry if I missed anyone. Thank you Joan Thank you too, Mr. Mack for your letter of apology to all!

I must apoligize to everyone on the AGS-L line for a mistake that happened here at my system. The info was typed and the correct email addressed used but somehow between finishing the memo and clicking the send, the AGS-L address got appended to the regular address. Please don't ask how it happened because I am freaked out trying to figure it out. The AGS-L address is the first address on our "Contacts" but I cannot see how it got triggered, if that is what happened. Again my apology........maybe it woke a few up that were getting grogy. Sorry you have been interrupted. Ray Mack

I would like to encourage everyone seriously interested in doing their family history to look into the county societies (historical or genealogical) where they have connections because of ancestors. We have a good historical society here in Washington County. Members get the quarterly publication. If you have any questions, let me know. I do not do lookups. Sorry. But queries of members are published. Don E. Schaefer, 1297 Deane St., Fayetteville, AR 72703 (501) 521-1229 <dschaefe@comp.uark.edu>
