Sunday event goes from mid-morning until mid-afternoon. The park atmosphere and facilities are extremely nice. We welcome all of you and your groups at the reunion. I am searching for the burial place of my grandfather/mother John and Elizabeth Massey in Arkansas. The Washington Township, in the county of Ouachita, State of Arkansas 1870 Census shows: Post office: Camden s/ William A. Wright, Ass't Marshall 26 26 Massey, John 75 M W Farmer With these low household numbers of 26 I would think that they probably were living at the time in or near Camden instead of Washington Township. Can anyone help me figure out where it may indicate that he as living? With him are his daughters Martha Hines and Mary Porter who possibly had lost their husbands in the Civil War as they were living with their father, and his son George Massey.. Much appreciation for your kindly time and assistance. Ray Mack Camarillo, CA.
Does anyone have the facility to look up the obit for my grandfather William J. (Jennings) Massey, b 1827 NC and died 28Apr1894 in Lewisville, Lafayette Co, AR, He was the country coroner there in 1886-1887. Is there a county coroner's office in Lewisville with these records. I have not been able to locate where he is buried. He could possibly been buried in Ouachita Co Washington Twp, with his father and mother, John and Elizabeth Massey possibly in the Frenchport, Crossroads, Louann area.. Much thanks, Ray Mack Camarillo, CA
Does anyone have information on the meeting of June 1, of the History Commission board and the State Building man? Steve

Cowling <<< Just a quick note to ask you if you have heard of a town in Arkansas called Baucom? It is on an old 1895 map, but is not on a recent map. I have been unable to locate any information for this town. On the 1895 map it seems to be right on the county line of Lonoke Co. and Pulaski Co., but can't tell for sure which county as the print is too small. Also in Pulaski County, there is a Baucom Cemetery, but I have been unable to get an exact location on it so far. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.>>

Hi folks! I am trying to find out about my great-grandfather's (Leroy Stokes Kemp, Sr.) death. He died 1/4/1887. There are 2 stories about his death. One is that a horse fell on him and he froze to death. The second story is that he fell into the Arkansas (I believe it's the Arkansas) river while going for supplies and froze that way. My uncle has searched the newspapers of the time and can find no account of his death. Leroy Stokes died near Providence, Arkansas. Apparently there was a Baptist church there that is still there. Does anybody know of that church and could maybe provide me with its address and phone number? Also, does anyone have any ideas as to where else to look? Thanks for all your help! Does anyone have access to cemetery lists or census for Crittenden and Madison Counties in Arkansas? I am searching for BILL and NANCY JANE PATRICK who are buried in the Hulbert Cemetery in Crittenden County. I don't have dates of birth or death, but they would have been born around 1850, give or take 10-20 years. Also, FRANK and NANCY JANE ANDERSON who should be buried near Patrick or Combs in Madison County. I don't have birth or death dates for these either, but estimate birth around 1870, give or take. ANDERSON is my maiden name and has been the hardest search for me! THANKS!!!! Dena
