I forgot to mention that all this took place after 1855 when he was born in Madison County, Alabama. I don't know exactly when they went to Arkansas. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ray Townsend To: AGS-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, February 19, 2004 12:15 PM Subject: Townsend Death and/or Marriage My grandfather, Samuel Cain Townsend was born in Alabama and moved to Arkansas where he married, or brought a wife from Alabama. My dad's brother told me that they had a half-brother living in Arkansas many years ago. I think he mentioned Conway. I would dearly love to hear from ANYONE who can find any records for me. I'll be glad to reimburse for any expense.
