Hello, I'm trying to find out what happened to my grandfather's first cousin, Francis Watson Parsons, born 1902 in Cambridge, England. I know he arrived in the Seychelles with his wife Helen, aged 35, in 1953 or 1954 on a ship named the Matheran and did not return to the UK. Also travelling with them was an 18 year old Lorna Theresa Marie Savy from London, I'm not if there was a family connection or not. Francis was listed as a farmer / planter and had lived in Durban and Mozambique previously. I'd be very grateful for any thoughts / info! With kind regards, Tamaryn Hodge

Hello List Is there anyone on here researching the above named person - Benjamin Charles PIERRE. He was born in the Seychelles Islands in 1894 and was in the British Merchant Navy between 1918 and 1921. Benjamin married Ursula Harriet Wilkinson in Calcutta in 1923 and had at least 3 sons. Benjamin moved to the UK in 1954 and died in Ipswich, Suffolk in 1989. Ursula died in Calcutta in 1937. Any info would be much appreciated. -- Dette Glenday Brisbane Qld Australia
Hello, I hope that mrs Cashetienne is informed that there is more Tirant in Australia than in Seychelles, they left in mid 1950ies, this happened when the English was recruiting white people to populate Australia to render the aborigines natives more inferiors than white human. My grandfather was called Jean Battiste Tirant and most of his children went to settled themselves in Australia except my mom, they were of course white skin with blue eyes which made them better candidates to the new world.
