Hi listers, I'm hoping someone can assist with finding a birth record for Alexander Cunningham CRAIGIE in SWA IN 1933. His father was in the SA Maritime service around Walvis Bay or Swakopmund at the time. It is assumed that they were Presbyterian. Any pointers would be gratefully received. Kind regards, Marielle Ford
Thank you for coming back to me. His movements is a bit hazy. I know he was born in Fucksburg in the Orsnge Free State. Was confirmed in the Dutch Refirmed Curch there when he was 23. He must have left SA somewhere between 1920 - 25 snd should have been approximately 25 years old Unfortunately that is all I have. The index to the newspaper is now complete from its inception up until WWI, when it disappeared, see http://heim.ifi.uio.no/~jensj/Slekt/Luderitz/LuderitzbuchterZeitung/index.html The paper reappeared for a couple of yours in the twenties, but I do not have those issues.
