    2. SBS Engineers Research
    3. Good afternoon list I am new to this list and trying to help a friend find her ancestors records. We have had a very difficult time finding records as the great grandfather changed his name. GRANDFATHER: We believe he was Jerome Samuel de Costa, and he may be from Mozambique or Zanzibar. Jerome's dob is 7 October 1890 in ferula Durban SA. Died 9 deck 1980 in Durban SA. Married Eva Margaret Benton on 16 July 1921. Eva dob is 15 Nov 1900. She died on 30 Jan 1973. Jerome was an abandoned child. He was found under a bridge in South Africa, and the family that took him in was my friends maternal grandmother's parents. He had a brother Louis who was in a facility in either Pietermaritzburg or Lorenzo Marques. Given that he was in a facility he may not have had his name changed. I know that in SA everyone had an ID number and I've been trying to obtain Jerome's number with no luck so far. I have been on the SAMUELS Surname list - to no avail. We just do not know where to go from here. Hoping SKS will help. 1. [AFR-MOZAMBIQUE] The Lost Men Moçambique
    2. Paul Emmanuel
    3. Hi, I am an artist living and working in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have an art project called The Lost Men Moçambique which is a travelling out-door, site specific, memorial installation which began at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, South Africa in 2004. In Maputo, it is to be installed on the Catembe Ferry Jetty. For the project, I am trying to find the names of men (and boy- soldiers) who died in the civil war in Moçambique. Up until now, the project team have found it impossible to find formal casualty lists from the war, trying all the embassies, The Red Cross, the churches, The Ministry of Defense, even journalists. A lot has to do with sensitivity between Renamo and Frelimo supporters as well as the guerilla nature of military operations and child-soldier recruitment. Is there anyone who could give advice on how to obtain these names? 1. HEALTH, HOPE, AND HEALING SEMINAR
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Bible Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/rJB.2ACEAE/47 Message Board Post: AIDS (HIV) PATIENTS AND ALL OTHER DISEASES KNOWN TO HUMANS. HERE’S GOOD NEWS THAT YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO MISS!! Drs. Jackson has recently been in Montreal. They host the Hope, Health and Healing Seminar for 3 weeks. This is the most complete health seminar that offers Seventh Day Adventist worldwide how to care for the physical, mental, spiritual and social life ever. He gives you natural medicinal cures, natural wholesome recipes, tell you foods that must be eaten, introduces you to the EIGHT DOCTORS THAT MAKE HOUSECALL FOR FREE, etc. Think of health from what you eat, to what you drink, to when and if you get sick, the herbs that you can take, your lifestyle, etc. It's the most comprehensive seminar in the world. Members who have seen his presentation will attest to this fact. It all comes from the "WORD" of God and the book "MINISTRY OF HEALING". Also, his findings are backed up by the most up-to-date research ever coupled with slides, books, God’s plan health recipe book, tapes, etc. Leaders of conferences and unions, we cannot continue to eat “flesh foods” says, E.G. white, and remain healthy, can we? You are what you eat. So what's my point? Your members are digging their graves with a knife and fork while you sit by thinking nothing's wrong. You have a responsibility to "EQUIP" AND "EDIFY" your members. That's what the lesson for these weeks emphasizes. Did you notice it? So the question is, how do you intend on doing that when all of the church members suffer from the same diseases that the Egyptians had? Think about that! You can't preach to others what you don't live up to, can you? The bible calls this false pretence in (Philippians 1:15-18). Adventism is a lifestyle; yet your members continue to suffer from a lifestyle of poor eating habits which directly and indirectly contributes to: diabetes, arthritis, cancer, high blood pressure, obesity, Addictions, Osteoporosis, allergies and Parkinson's disease. God forbid, AIDS (HIV), Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, Hot Flashes, constipation and Candida. We claim the health message as the right hand of the Adventist message...but are we educating our members about living a healthy lifestyle? Leaders, what are you doing about that? Seventh Day Adventists can't preach the gospel without good health, can they? Well, here's what you can do! Have you heard of HIV (AIDS) being reversed? Read it in the testimonials when you go to this website: meetministry.org I am sending this to all the unions and conferences worldwide. If you care about your fellow Adventist members in Christ, you'll immediately find out about DRS. Jackson’s website at: meetministry.org. Call Jamaica's conference, and they will tell you about this Doctor. It's a must! Bermuda conference will tell you the same. Barbados will tell you the same as well. Call Tortola BVI conference; they'll tell you the good news. Please bury your pride and invite this doctor and his wife down to your neck of the hoods to do a seminar on health. I am telling you; you'll thank God the day you receive this email and wish you had receive it sooner. Do it! You owe that to yourself and the members you oversee. I don't get paid for this. I am just spreading the good news of salvation to you. Why? I don't want you to and your members to die for lack of knowledge that you had access to and neglected it. Christ came to seek and to save the lost. Question: Did Christ only come to save people from their sins, or did he come to save them physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially? He wants us to live a lifestyle that's pleasing to him. You figure it out! God said to me that I must send and post this email on the Internet. I just obey and did it. Why? Because I realize that in "God's" name, there are two "action" words. They are: "DO" & "GO". Hence, God has given you a head (or brains) and a pair of buttocks. Heads you win, tail you loose. God will hold you responsible for what you do with this information. It's your choice. 3. Hi All I had a similar problem with a death in Inhambane, Mocambique, in 1907. I tried all the obvious ways to get a death certificate then someone on this list suggested trying the British records. Apparently if the deceased was not a Mocambique citizen the death was often also recorded with the relevant embassy or consulate. In my case the death was in the Consular records in Britain. Within two weeks I had a certified copy of the Death Certificate. See below for a copy of two emails sent to me by the British authorities. Regards, Robin Griffiths Tel(H):+27(0)31 5731729 38 Longwoods Drive Cell:072 4772704 Glenhills Durban North, 4051 South Africa griffrob@telkomsa.net Quote 1: With reference to your mail ( copy below ) Consular registrations began in 1888 for Mozambique. The records of this office relate mainly to births, deaths and marriages registered in England and Wales since 1 July 1837. If you are posting a priority order please mark the outside of the envelope 'PRIORITY' to ensure that it is dealt with immediately. Due to the 48 hour turnaround priority service if you do not receive an acknowledgement please refrain from re-faxing, re-emailing or telephoning to check on the status of your order as it causes duplication of work and can lead to delays. All certificates are sent by first class post. However, if you live overseas and would like your order to be delivered by "Swift Air", this service costs £4.00 (4.00GBP). The "Swift Air" facility takes the same length of time as air mail but has a bar-coded tracking facility. If you would like us to send your order using "Swift Air" please let us know when you place your order. Providing you know full details and the area in which the event was registered, it is often possible to make an application direct to the local register office. Certificates ordered in this way cost £7.00 (7.00GBP), but the length of time they take depends on the work load of the particular office. If you know the district concerned we can give you the telephone number and address of the relevant local office. I am trying to track a George Mossop (my sister-in-law's great uncle) who was born in Durban, South Africa in 1861 and who moved to Mozambique (parts unknown) about 1914 and he died there in 1938. I suppose that I could try to send for a death certificate but I don't even know where to start in terms of town or general area where he may have been at his death. Maureen, if you find out anything please post your results so that we can all learn. Thank you, Dave Murray Kansas, USA
