I was told as a child that my grandfathers "people" went on the trail of tears and ended up marrying Cherokee women. Actually it was 2 brothers, both of which married while enroute to Oklahoma(?) and while the one went on to texas with his new bride, the other came back to the Alabama/Georgia region. I live in Alabama but have traveled through a town in Texas called Adrian. It wasn't intentional, but I was lost in Texas and just happened upon the town...
