After doing more research, I discovered her real maiden name was Kirschbaum. My paternal aunt remembers Kirschbaum cousins when they still lived in Cassville in the 20's and 30's. They moved away from the area in the late 30's/early 40's and lost contact. I have been able to trace the Ackerman line back to the late 1600's, but haven't had such luck with Kirschbaums. Do you know where in Prussia they came from? I believe they came here through New Orleans, but haven't been able to verify it yet. Any help would be appreciated!
