While I had a few minutes to do some on-line searches for myself, I found these few very-random Adrian mentions that may mean something to someone else. http://www.tarleton.edu/~kjones/lawsbrig.html The 4th Alabama Volunteer Infantry Regiment Co. WWI Civilian Draft Registrations John Willard Adrian, born 19 Mar 1889, Mattoon IL, Registered in Saint Louis City, MO (By the way, it will take some unconvincing for me to think this isn't part of my husband's family. His g grandfather was James Willard Adrian, b. 1858 in OH, d. 1933 in Mattoon, Coles Cty. IL. The date even fits being one of John Willard's sons, and there's one of many gaps in that year for other kids being born. But the family has never heard of him, and this is the first I've run across the name. I shouldn't make assumptions.) Independence County, AK, Marriages Jan. 15, 1848, Robert N. Adrian to Susan A.
