    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Adrian; Adriansen Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mJ.2ADEB/118 Message Board Post: Hi Probably have heard from me before, as many of you seem to crossover between boards, but my question may be weird or stange but this has been on my mind for a while. My last name Adrian is believed to be of German/Danish Origin from talking to family members. I am somewhat familiar with Danish surnames but not totally. I know that in the nordic countries, Adrian is a common and typical first name, I was wondering,.. is it possible that Adriansen or some variant dropped the suffix and became just Adrian through the generations of changes and immigration? This seems somewhat logical in some senses. Tell me what you think and any information would be helpful. Thank you Heather
