Alfred was born in 1900 in Alpena, Michigan as well. His parents were Augustus and Mary Arlt. The family later moved to the Chaplin, Saskatchewan area to farm. My grandfather married Elizabeth Hope and later moved to Condor, Alberta area to farm. Alfred died in 1967 in Victoria, British Columbia.
