How did you know he had 5 kids? Did your grandmother make it out of Germany? My dad and his parents arrived in this country (at Ellis Island on the S.S. President Roosevelt) 70 years ago yesterday (July 3, 1937). I have found some information on that at ancestry.com, although my dad always said they arrived on 4th of July. Yes, I am in touch with my siblings and I am in Florida. Where are you? Whatever information I may be able to give you would only be pertaining to my grandparents (I only knew my Opa as Alfred - I think he dropped the Adolf once they came to this country) and dad but I'm happy to share whatever I can.
