I don't remember my dad or Opa ever mentioning any relatives on that side (not to say they didn't, I just don't remember). What was your mother's name? When did they arrive here? When my dad and his parents came to this country, they settled in Flushing. The way I heard it, Opa had been the district attorney in Berlin and in that position had gotten word of what was going on and got the family out. My dad was originally in the insurance business and he and his first wife lived near Chicago. They had 3 children. My mom married Ed in 1973 and we moved to Florida. Oma and Opa were already living in Long Boat Key, near Sarasota. Opa died in 1976 and Oma in 1981. Michelle Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
