September 06, 1899, Chantilly, , Virginia; d. June 16, 1988, Annapolis, Anne Arundel, Maryland; m. JAMES OSCAR ERWIN; b. November 29, 1899, Ronceverte, , West Virginia; d. July 21, 1976. have come to the town of ForFar,bastard twp,Leeds county, ontario to stay with Samuel and Lydia adrain at some point. I have a census listing a louise which i can not find any details on who she is. If she did then that proves that our hugh sr adrain born 1784 very well could have been a brother to your james. Samuel adrain born 1810 names his first son James? Some of our adrain are said to have stayed in the USA for a little while then came on up to upper canada (ontario)this seem like it could be a match. Do you happen to know what james middle name is as I see the letter is E..would it be Ezera or Ezra? i would love to hear from you thank you very much in advance Cheryl adrain

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mJ.2ADEB/127 Message Board Post: The descendants of George Washington Harrington and Elizabeth Hester Anne Forrest have had a number of family reunions since 1957. Over the last several years, genealogical research has been conducted on the ancestors of this family. Currently the ancestry of George Washington Harrington has been traced back two additional generations to George Harrington and Mary Adrian of County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Mary’s father was James Adrian and her mother’s first name began with an E.. George and Mary had two identified sons, George and James. George the senior died in Ireland. Mary remarried Henry Cowden and immigrated to the US along with their daughter Mary and the young George and James Harrington. The young George first married Sarah Milburn, had 7 children, and after Sarah’s death married Mary Ellen Gheen and had 6 additional children. James married a widow, Hannah Cummings, and had as many as 10 children. Hannah Cummings daughter from her first marriage, married Michael Laughlin. The Harrington, Adrian, Cummings, and Laughlin families migrated from Ireland and initially settled in Loudoun County Virginia. Some members of the families later migrated to St. Francois County Missouri. Later some members of the family returned to Alexandria Virginia. Since that time many descendants have remained where their ancestors lived, others have scattered allover the United States. During June of this year a reunion is being planned for the descendants of these families. The location will be announced in the next month or so but will likely be planned for Frederick County Maryland or Loudoun County Virginia. The following surnames have been identified as being descended from this family or married to descendants of this family: Abel, Adrain, Adrian, Albert, Allnut, Amorosi, Anning, Ashby, Aspinall, Baker, Barnicle, Baxter, Beissner, Benton, Bibb, Blakistone, Bohrer, Boothe, Bradley, Brame, Brill, Burger, Burgess, Butler, Byers, Cahill, Callahan, Carr, Caviness, Caylor, Cheshire, Chichester, Clarke, Clauss, Clem, Coatney, Cochran, Cockrell, Conely, Cook, Cooper, Cowden, Crone, Cronin, Cummings, Custer, Dalton, Daniel, Deihl, Delauter, Dix, Donaldson, Dooley, Dorsey, Duckworth, Dunham, Durant, Duvall, Eldreth, Elmo, Emeigh, Engard, Engert, Erwin, Finch, Fletcher, Follin, Ford, Forrest, French, Gambrel, Garner, Gerhard, Gero, Gheen, Gosnell, Grant, Griffin, Grimes, Haines, Halley, Hally, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardy, Harman, Harrenton, Harrington, Hauser, Havener, Havenner, Hawes, Heiss, Herington, Herrington, Hogan, Holmes, Houser, Howard, Howser, Huffer, Hummer, Hyland, Itnyre, Itynre, Jaccard, Jones, Kaiser, Kearney, Keith, Keller, Kelley, Kelly, Kendall, Kidwell, Kimble, Koogle, Krebs, Kropp, Laughlin! , Lauglen, Lear, Letterman, Logan, Loughlin, Lourdes, Love, Lowe, Lyons, Main, Mankin, McBrien, McCallum, McCuen, McDermott, McDonnall, McLaughlin, McPherson, Mercer, Merchant, Milburn, Milbourne, Miller, Minish, Moffett, Montgomery, Moore, Moran, Moreland, Morrison, Munday, Murcko, Murray, Myers, Nonnenmacher, Norris, Nozer, Ormsby, Parker, Peacher, Pearell, Penland, Perry, Peterson, Peyton, Phillips, Pieri, Presgrave, Preston, Pretta, Price, Raff, Ramsay, Ratican, Rector, Redheffer, Resinger, Rhoads, Rice, Roger, Rossi, Ruegg, Rush, Sanders, Saunders, Schaeler, Schmidt, Schwenk, Schweppe, Shafer, Sharpe, Shaw, Shuff, Shuford, Sigler, Sinclair, Smith, Sowers, Spann, Stalp, Stets, Stevens, Stockman, Stohr, Stone, Stoneburner, Stuckey,Suits, Taylor, Toadvine, Toothacher, Townsend, Trinidad, Truax, Trumpower, Virts, Watson, Ways, Weaver, Weir, Whelen, Whipp, White, Whitt, Williams, Willits, Wisner, Woods, Wulff, Wyner, Yanes, Youtz (Please forgive any I have missed) We hope you will plan to attend this reunion.
