My family is going to Germany July 30 and will be attempting to look up Erdelbrock things. If they come across any Adrian/Erdelbrock info I will certainly pass on. Like I've said before, we've all gotten away from the family tree because of losing our sis last year. Keep in touch if you get this - Jerilyn
Sorry to send this to the whole list but - I found an old e-mail from the above person and tried to write them concerning the following but their address seems to be non-existent. If you read this - please contact me ref: Adrains! I was looking through some old e-mail that I had received through the Adrain web list and found a message where you stated that you were looking for the Adrain name. I have an ancestor named Samuel Drain (born in 1827 in Antrim, IRE) who married Jane Lawry/Lowry in Ballywillin, Londonderry, Coleraine District on 7 Jun 1849. They had a son, William, born in Ireland on 30 June 1850; then a daughter, Ann, born in 1852, but don't know if it was in Ireland, but probably in the U.S.; then another daughter, Mary Jane, born in Pennsylvania. We think they may have immigrated through Toronto, Canada, but have no proof and have not been able to find their immigration anywhere. Samuel and Jane's marriage certificate lists his father as Wm. Drain and her father as Sam. Lowry. Nothing else is known about them. We think that Samuel & Jane purchased land in PA near a Hugh Drain who evidently was already living in PA. Samuel and Jane eventually ended up in NE and that is where they died. Samuel and Jane had sons named William, Samuel, John, Nelson, Robert and Hugh. All these names seem to fit with your family information. I have seen a Wm. Adrain in some records of Ballywillin and think it is the same person as my ancestor. An Irish specialist at the LDS Family History Library told me that the name Drain and Adrain were probably interchangeable! I have no evidence of any family in Scotland. If you think we may have some family connection I'd love to hear from you. I could send you a GEDCOM file of my records Thanks, Kathy (Drain) Almquist

After doing more research, I discovered her real maiden name was Kirschbaum. My paternal aunt remembers Kirschbaum cousins when they still lived in Cassville in the 20's and 30's. They moved away from the area in the late 30's/early 40's and lost contact. I have been able to trace the Ackerman line back to the late 1600's, but haven't had such luck with Kirschbaums. Do you know where in Prussia they came from? I believe they came here through New Orleans, but haven't been able to verify it yet. Any help would be appreciated!
