The Wise County (VA) Historical Society will be hosting Family History Days on the lawn of the courthouse in Wise, VA on May 25th from 9:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. and on May 26th from 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Come trace your roots with local genealogists and historians. Researchers will be available to assist you with many local and regional surnames. The authors, Lil Gobble and Rhonda Robertson, of Legends in Gray and Blue: A biographical history of Confederate and Union Soldiers of Wise County, will be on hand to discuss the upcoming book. The Wise County Circuit Court Clerk's Office will be open to allow access to county records during the festival. The Heritage of Wise County and the City of Norton, Volume II is the feature presentation during this year's festival.
