Henderson Lee Adkins was adopted by a Press Adkins living in Elliot County, Kentucky in 1900. My Grandfather and my Aunt told me a little of what they know. My Grandfather said that his Great - Grandfather married an Indian. He said she was from Oklahoma. And I think he said she was Hendersons mother. He also mentioned he had a Great-Great or Great-Grandmother Tuwatha. My Grandfather lives in Terra Hautte, Indiana. The next time I hear from him I will try to find out more.
