She told me of her aunt who had been deaf. Later, my cousin, her granddaughter had a son who was born a deaf mute. Many Adkins have migrated from Franklin Co. over the past, many to KY, so there probably is a genetic trait that has been passed along. I have suspected this when so many deaf people happen in one family. Where did your family originate?
