Grandmother went to Bluefield, WV when she was 18 to work as a housekeeper in a boarding house which provided room and board to itinerant coalminers. This is where she met my grandfather, James A. Haley. When I chided her one time about travelling alone to an unknown place in those days, she indicated she had family already there. Do you think this Percy and Eliza are your grandparents? If so, I can give you some info on the Adkins line.
