The land grant was for land around and on what is now called the East Lynn Lake. The Army Corp of Engineers purchased the land. There is an Adkins Cemetary above the East Lynn Lake. My grandfather and grandmothers names are Lindsey Adkins (son of Spencer and Mary Ellen (Cyfers) and Haney Adkins (daughter of Henry & Nancy Ann (Caldwell-Cardwell). There were several George Adkins in Lincoln County.
